Construction of this neighborhood began in the late 1980s.  In Covered Bridge subdivision, you will see mainly brick homes. There are a few homes that are wood but mainly you’ll see brick homes. Homes in Covered Bridge Farms neighborhood range from 1,700 to 3,000 square feet. The price range for homes in Covered Bridge is $200,000 to $340,000.

There are typically three to five bedrooms and two to three bathrooms in each of these homes. About half of the homes in Covered Bridge Farms have first-floor owner’s suites. There is also a Fresh Market not too far away in Louisville located at 1805 Rudy Lane. The closest shopping centers to Prospect are Westport Village, Springhurst, and The Summit. Westport Village and The Paddock Shops have a variety of clothing stores and restaurants. Westport Village has a lot of local boutiques while The Paddock Shops has many national clothing stores such as Express and Gap. Springhurst Shopping Center has stores such as Target and Kohls. There is also a movie theater and a few restaurants. 
There are quite a few restaurants to choose from in Prospect that is close to Covered Bridge Farms. The following restaurants are some of the most popular in Prospect: Cast Iron Steak House, The Blackstone Grill, Prospect Grille, J Harrod’s Restaurant, Bistro 42, and Hanabi. Cast Iron Steakhouse is a relatively new steakhouse that prides itself on quality ingredients at affordable prices. Hanabi is a nice place to go if you want to watch a sports game and eat sushi at the same time. Hanabi considers itself a sushi, hibachi, sports bar. J Harrod’s Restaurant has been a restaurant in Prospect since 1994. They offer a mixture of entrée options between American and Italian food.
