Norton Commons features colonial style, traditional style, and craftsman style homes. Vinyl and brick are the two most common construction types. Norton Commons also includes an ice cream shop and coffee shop, as well as a wine, beer, and bourbon tasting studio.

For grocery shopping, there is a Kroger in Prospect located at 5929 Timber Ridge Dr. The closest Walmart is 3706 Diann Marie Rd. off Westport Rd. Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and Fresh Market are all located in St. Matthews, within proximity to Prospect.
